Patients sometimes ask: “If I bring a blood test or scan, will my consultation still be Ayurvedic?” At Ayurveda Healing Tree, the answer is yes. Considering relevant reports and practising classical Ayurveda are both part of our approach to understanding a patient.
Our Ayurvedic approach
Our assessment and Ayurvedic treatment planning are grounded in classical Ayurvedic principles. The consultation explores your concerns alongside digestion, appetite, sleep, food habits, daily routine and health history. The purpose is to understand your individual circumstances and explain a care plan that you can follow.
What reports contribute
Modern investigations can provide useful information about a health concern, earlier treatment or a change over time. They are considered alongside your history and an appropriate clinical assessment. A report does not replace a conversation, and a single number does not describe the whole person.
Your doctor may recommend further medical evaluation or referral when needed. Considering Ayurvedic care should not mean delaying necessary investigations or care from another treating clinician.
Which documents should you share?
- Reports related to the concern you want to discuss.
- Previous prescriptions and hospital discharge summaries.
- Earlier results that show a meaningful change over time.
- A complete list of current medicines and supplements.
Please keep the date and laboratory or imaging centre details visible. Do not order a broad set of tests simply to prepare for an appointment. Bring what you already have and discuss whether anything further is necessary.
Keep every treating clinician informed
If another doctor is managing an ongoing condition, tell us about that plan. Also tell that clinician about Ayurvedic medicines or supplements you use. Do not stop or alter prescribed treatment on your own.
A good consultation should leave you understanding the Ayurvedic assessment, the role of any reports, the proposed next steps and the circumstances in which you should seek another review.
