Preparing for Your Ayurvedic Consultation

A useful consultation starts with your story. At Ayurveda Healing Tree, we want to understand what is troubling you, how it affects everyday life and what you hope to discuss. A little preparation helps make that conversation clearer.

Bring the history, not just the latest symptom

Make a short note of when your concern began, whether it comes and goes, and any changes you have noticed. Include previous treatment and what happened afterwards. You do not need to diagnose yourself or use medical terminology; describe your experience in your own words.

Keep reports and medicines together

Bring relevant blood tests, scans, discharge summaries and earlier prescriptions. A dated folder or a clearly named set of digital files is easier to review than many separate messages.

  • List all current medicines, including doses if you know them.
  • Include herbal products, supplements and over-the-counter medicines.
  • Mention allergies and any previous unwanted reaction.
  • Write down the two or three questions you most want answered.

Expect a conversation about everyday life

Your doctor may ask about appetite, digestion, sleep, food patterns, activity and daily routine. These details help shape an individual Ayurvedic assessment. Be open about what is realistic for you—your work, family responsibilities and food preferences are part of the conversation.

Online or in-clinic?

For an online appointment, choose a quiet private space, check your connection and have your reports ready. For a clinic visit, plan to arrive at your confirmed time. A parent or guardian should accompany a child. A caregiver can help an older adult with their medicine list and history, with the patient’s agreement.

Leave with clarity about the next step

Before the consultation ends, ask what the plan involves, how to follow it and when to return. If medicines are prescribed, ask about their dose, timing and duration. Contact the clinic if an instruction is unclear rather than guessing.

Request your appointment and wait for clinic confirmation before visiting or joining online.
